Ballet and Tap

Baby Ballet

This is a starter class for children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 4 yrs of age.

The class is taught in a fun and friendly way and young children are encouraged to explore early ballet through mime, expressions and movement.

Ballet &Tap (Rosette)

The Rosette Ballet & Tap classes for ages 4-6 years are designed to introduce young children to the joys of movement by exploring and expanding their movement range. Building coordination, strength, flexibility, and balance in combination with musical exercises are some of the primary objectives of the class. These classes involve imaginary scenarios, dance games and props to keep the attention of young students, supplying them with the necessary tools to love dance for a lifetime.

Ballet &Tap (Grades)

Ballet and Tap Grades are for ages 7yrs and above and is an introduction to the formalized structure and discipline of ballet class, barre work, and the French vocabulary.

 

As students progress onto higher level exams they will become mature enough to begin learning the fundamentals upon which almost all theatrical dance is based. The student follows this carefully structured syllabus in accordance with his or her own physical and mental development. Advancement is made by ability and not necessarily by age. If the student attends all the suggested classes listed for his or her level, advancement to the next level will usually occur in one year.

 

Our dance exams are with the IDTA.  They are one of the largest dance examination organisations in the UK.  Their exam structure allows us to offer a structured learning pattern to our pupils.
